Christmas Dinner and Holiday Market Updates!

Okay spinners, turns out Christina’s is starting their winter schedule which does include being closed on Mondays. Yikes! So what was the story on either Dec 5, 6, or 7th? Please get back to me (Pam Dyer) pronto so we can schedule the dinner. They said no problem for 15 to 20 people during the week.

Also, don’t forget to come spin at the Best of the SW. They will have a spot for us to spin in and I will put up the sign so you know where to spin. The more the merrier. Any time is great!

Durango Fiberworks is in a holiday art sale at the Durango Art Center on Sat. Nov. 18th from 11 to 4. It reads as follows:

9th Annual Artisan Holiday Gift Show & Sale
An eclectic blend of Hand Crafted work by local artisans

There will be a nice mix of artists including x'mas wreaths from Native Roots, handmade soaps, local mustard, polymer and tile from Nancy Fredricks and Debra Gorton"s wild tribe figures and X'mas ornaments. Should be fun......come by and see us!

New events and activities, and things of interest!

I put up pics from the last guild meeting at Durango Fiber Works on my blog HERE.

Pam and Doug Ramsey have set up the web site for La Plata Farms, if you haven't already, check it out HERE (or on the link on the sidebar)!

Best of the Southwest is coming! At McGee park, behind the Casino/Racetrack on the Bloomfield Hwy. Nov 11 and 12. Please come and help out and spin spin spin. We will have a spot for you. Bring your wheel for sure! Link over on the sidebar...

There won't be Wild And Woolly meetings for November or December of this year, because of the holidays, the next official meeting will be in January of 2007, Phyllis Campbell, has volunteered to host it on January 27th.

Dec 4th, Monday, is the Spinners Dinner at Christina’s in Durango. Mark the date and set it aside. 5ish. Bring a gift to exchange and maybe make it something you made. Nothing much just a little something to share. Let me know if you are coming so I can let Christina’s know!

And in the future: Pagosa Fiber Festival, Memorial Day weekend 2007. We need you to sign up for times where you can help demonstrate, spinning, knitting, weaving, carding, etc. Let me know the times you plan to be there. I am not giving up on this so be ready to be hounded about this (Pam D.)!

Happy Spinning, Knitting, Weaving....

And as always, please email me to let me know of anything you'd like posted on the blog! morgsarah at gmail dot com.
